I was wondering about it for some time, Google just posted the story on their official blog: “The reason is that we wanted to develop a set of icons that would scale better to some new platforms like the iPhone and other mobile devices.”

Visionofhumanity.org provides the GPI (Global Peace Index) rankings of 140 countries analysed in 2008 and 121 countries analysed in 2007, as well as year-on-year comparison. Thailand is ranked #118 (#105 in 2007) out of the 140 countries listed for 2008. Should Thailand be considered unsafe?
