A lot of people are enjoying their mobile life with an HTC Touch these days, and this is especially true here in Thailand. However, it’s obvious that the main concern is its speed (just like the Dopod C800).
So for everyone wondering how to speed up their Touch / Elf, here is an easy (and relatively safe) way to overclock your device:
- Download BatteryStatus (.exe and .cab available)
- Install
- Go to the “OMAP” tab of BatteryStatus
- Select the desired speed in the “Overclock to speed” drop-down box (note: safe speed are comprised between 240 and 299) clic “Set”
- That’s it, you’re running at a much nicer speed!
For more information, especially how to keep this speed after wake-up and reboot, check: the developer’s website.
Note that you use this software at your own risk. Overclocking means that you run your processor at a clockspeed not intended by the manufacturer or provider of your device. I am not responsible for any damage caused on/to your device.
